very good grill
I purchased this grill due to open flame restrictions in my community. The main difference is knowing how much heat is needed to cook. Since this grill is neither propane nor charcoal, there is a difference in heat settings.
Most meats have to be done on the high setting and timing is also different from other types of grills. It took practice for me to figure it out.
Line the bottom with foil and it makes cleanup way easier. Using Brillo pads to clean the stainless steel grate works well also.
Overall, if you are in a situation that does not allow open flame, this grill is the best for the value.

Looks great, but not so HOT
I was initially pleased with the grill construction but my steaks, though cooked were "grey." I like a crispy steak on the outside. Same with kabobs. Grill didn't really get hot enough. Returned and got another, in case the first was a "lemon." Grill l#2 heated exactly the same way, and the cover of the grill had been assembled incorrectly at the factory. Quality control? Weber brand not what it used to be? Electric grills just not perfected yet? I'll probably keep it-to cook fish outside, at least.

This grill is wonderful!!!
We are not supposed to grill on our deck so this electric grill is perfect. It is small enough not to be noticed and it works great.
